Northborough Area Community Chorus is a 501c3 non-profit, non-auditioned, four-part SATB chorus open to all adults (16 years old +) regardless of age, ability, and background.
We were founded in the spring of 1972, by Mr. Anthony J. Volpe as an evening adult music education/singing class held at Algonquin Regional High School. We celebrated our 50th Anniversary in the Spring of 2022.
We perform multiple genres of music: Classical, Pop, Rock, Broadway, Light Opera, Spiritual, Disney, Carols, Religious, and much more.
Our Purpose
NACC’s purpose is to educate, enrich, and entertain the community through public performances and by providing opportunities for music education for individuals who enjoy singing in an adult group setting.
NACC supports music education by offering scholarships and sponsorships supporting students attending college, pursuing a musical degree, and local student music groups.
Our Mission
NACC fosters a deeply felt sense of community among its members. We support each other, have fun, and work together to achieve artistic excellence. NACC strives to extend this sense of community to our audiences, collaborators, and donors.
We share the joy of coming together in a welcoming environment and encouraging mutual support, while blending our voices in song, hearts in friendship, and enriching the community through choral performances.
Diversity and Inclusion
We celebrate and support each other’s diversity and do not discriminate - all are welcome. We embrace different perspectives and abilities. We come from a variety of backgrounds, life experiences, and professions, ranging in age from young adults to retirees. We are committed to performing music from different cultures, eras, and genres.
