CODE OF ETHICS
NACC is committed to providing members with an environment that is free from discrimination and unlawful harassment. Actions, words, jokes, or comments based on an individual’s sex, race, ethnicity, age, religion, or any other legally protected characteristic will not be tolerated. We encourage members to bring any incidents of harassment to the immediate attention of an Executive Board Member, or the Artistic Director/s.
Definition of Harassment
Harassment is any behavior which causes distress, feelings of a lack of safety, or physical harm to another person based on their actual or perceived race/ethnicity, religion, age, gender, gender expression or identity, socioeconomic status, disability, sexual orientation, citizenship status, geography, place of origin, marital status, or familial status. Harassment does not need to have malicious intent; the impacts on the person reporting the harassment must be addressed regardless of the intent. Demeaning remarks, jokes, innuendos about anyone; or remarks about an identity group in the presence of any individual, not necessarily a member of the group mentioned, are also forms of harassment.
SICKNESS PROTOCOL
The risk of exposure to any virus is higher when singing. Please do not attend rehearsal if you are not feeling well or coughing. Rehearsals are audio recorded for these instances.
PHOTO/VIDEO
I grant NACC permission to use my likeness in a photograph, video, or other digital media (“photo”) in any and all of its publications, including web-based publications, without payment or other consideration.
I understand and agree that all photos taken by NACC are the property of NACC.
I hereby irrevocably authorize NACC to edit, alter, copy, exhibit, publish, or distribute these photos for any lawful purpose. In addition, I waive any right to inspect or approve the finished product wherein my likeness appears. Additionally, I waive any right to royalties or other compensation arising or related to the use of the photo.
ATTENDANCE
Membership encompasses performance at (2) concerts per year and multiple rehearsals; please plan on singing in at least one concert and being absent no more than (5) rehearsals per concert. If you feel you are unable to attend within these guidelines, please email [email protected] and copy [email protected] to discuss further.
By clicking on the I accept box on my online membership form, I am confirming that I have read, understand and accept the above guidelines. I hereby hold harmless, release, and forever discharge NACC from all claims, demands, and causes of action which I, my heirs, representatives, executors, administrators, or any other persons acting on my behalf or on behalf of my estate have or may have by reason of this authorization.
